Gun shot wound killed Vandalia man involved in high speed chase

LOUISIANA, MO. -- The Pike County Missouri coroner says at least one gun shot wound killed a Vandalia Missouri man who was involved in a high speed chase involving the Pike County Sheriff's Department and the Louisiana Missouri Police Department.

39-year-old Timothy Chrisman was killed after he allegedly backed up his pickup truck at three police officers after they tried to stop him in Louisiana following the chase.

The investigation is now being handled by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

No other details about the case are being released at this time.
