Lewis County E-911 director quits

The Lewis County E-911 center is looking for a new director.

Nita Bellsmith resigned from the position on Tuesday, after just four months on the job.

Board Chairman Randy Eaton told KHQA the resignation came as a "total shock".

The seven member board meets this Sunday to discuss the next step.

Lewis County voters just rejected a sales tax increase that would have raised money for improvements to the E-911 center.
