Two Quincy painters are getting a lot of attention these days after chasing down a purse snatcher last week.
Justin Kohl and Paul Hendrian were on a painting job at Ridders Business Supply when cries from an elderly woman interrupted a calm morning in downtown Quincy.
Hendrian said, "We heard a lady scream help, help, help."
Kohl said, "We looked at each other for a second and then said let's do it."
Justin and Paul took off down an alley chasing one of the two suspects.
Justen and Paul ran about 7 blocks until they thought they lost one of the kids. That's when they picked up a new lead at the Lampe High Rise.
"A man said he saw the teenager come in. We talked to the maintenance guy who had it on video."
"We saw him come out of the stairwell five minutes after looking at tapes," said Kohl.
That's when they caught the suspect and turned him over to police.
Now drivers rolling past their work area on Maine Street call out, "There are the heroes!"
But these guys say they're no heroes. They just did something anyone would do in that situation.
