QUINCY, ILL. -- The Adams County finance committee is turning over a revised budget to the county board. It reflects tight revenues and expenditures reduced as far as possible without cutting staff.

The next fiscal year begins December 1st.

One change in the final budget revision is a minor improvement in revenues related to probation and detention staff, bringing in an additional $45-thousand dollars for salaries.

There is no capital spending coming through the finance committee, although the ambulance board is planning to continue its ambulance replacement program with the purchase of a new unit for $184,000.
