Students from the Knox County Middle School helped spread some holiday cheer.
This month, students wanted to give back to the community by providing less fortunate families with a Thanksgiving dinner.
Faculty set a goal of $200 but after everything was said and done, the students tripled that amount, raising six-hundred and thirty-five dollars.
"We do various service projects but this year they wanted to do something different and our homeroom teachers are responsible for every month a different activity. So Elizabeth Monroe planned the "Dimes for Dinners" and really got the Middle School students energetic about the project."
Goodwin said all the supplies bought with the money will go towards the Knox County Food Pantry.
