By now many of you may have your bags packed and are ready to hit the road for your Thanksgiving trip.

According to AAA, Wedensday and Sunday are expected to be the busiest travel days.

Sergeant Brent Bernhardt with the Missouri State Highway Patrol says all law enforcement agencies are concentrating on getting motorists to their destinations safely.

"Missouri State Highway Patrol will be participating in Operation Care which is a combined accident reduction effort, meaning that all available troopers will be working sometime during the holiday period, aggressively enforcing Missouri traffic laws and helping those motorists should they encounter some type of road side emergency," said Sgt. Bernhardt.

"As an added enforcement effort, over the peak travel days of Wednesday and Sunday, in Troop B we will be conducting a selective traffic enforcement which will be held on Highway 63 and US Highway 36 and some secondary roads in an effort to try and make sure that people are safe," Bernhardt added.
