Man goes to jail for bootleg DVDs

A Bowling Green man has been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison after admitting to making and selling thousands of bootleg DVD movies.

Sixty-year-old Patrick S. Coughlin pleaded guilty to one felony count of copyright infringement.

He also was ordered to pay $4,320 in restitution and forfeit a variety of computer equipment. Authorities said Coughlin had 8,405 counterfeit movies that he made with a computer and two DVD burners.
