HANNIBAL, MO. -- People usually buy presents for Christmas but one organization in Hannibal has a more hands-on approach to gifts this holiday season.

Kids of all ages participated in the Holly Jolly! workshop at the Hannibal Arts Council.

Stations were set up for kids to make Christmas ornaments, wrapping paper, and even enjoy a snack.

The Hannibal Arts Council had two sessions this year because there were so many kids interested.

It's a chance for kids to express themselves and bring their work home.

"We like to do this every year. It's a great opportunity for us to let the kids be very creative and in a couple of hours, bring home six different projects to family and friends," said Hannibal Arts Council children's program leader Debbie Baumann.

The Hannibal Arts Council hosts one event each month for young artists.

Next years schedule will be available next month.
