Des Moines woman files rape report on husband 

The DesMoinesRegister.com's blogger, Tom Alex, tells readers:

A Des Moines woman told police Monday night that she was raped by her estranged husband.  The 31-year-old woman said she has been separated from him for two months. On Monday night he went to her south side apartment to visit their three children, police said.

Authorities investigate hunting accident near Barnes City

The Oskaloosa Herald reports:

Authorities say a Minnesota man has been hospitalized after a hunting accident in southeast Iowa.  KJAN-AM in Atlantic reports that 71-year-old Gerald Bader of Federal Dam, Minnesota, was hunting in a party near Barnes City on Saturday when another person hit him in the hip with a shotgun slug.
