QUINCY, ILL. -- Christmas is quickly sneaking upon us. And finding the right holiday gift for someone isn't always the easiest, especially if it's a top seller. KHQA scouted out the most popular items of the season.
The pursuit of the perfect gift this year has shoppers like these traveling all over the Tri-States. KHQA hit the kids section first to find out which gifts will be the hardest to come by if you wait much longer.
"Last year we had our Zhu Zhu Pets which we still have this year," said Jarrod West, a Walmart shift manager.
The newest in the family of Zhu Zhu's? A hamster.
"Another great item this year has been our Baby Alive. It's a Baby All Gone and has a spoon you feed your baby to keep your baby happy," said West.
For Christmas shopper Tammy Adams, one just wasn't enough.
"We've got one that eats and you have to change her diaper. We've got one that giggles and jumps. And we've got the nerf flag football," said Adams.
"For young boys, we're featuring our Nerf Strike, Vulcan N-Strike. They've been really hot items for boys ages six to 12 or 14," said West.
"The Wii, of course and the Epic Mickey Mouse is out, so we bought a couple of those," said Adams.
Taking the next top spot is anything Toy Story, including these $10 board games.
For movie goers, the top three new releases are Inception, Shrek and Eclipse from the Twilight Saga.
You can't watch these new favorites without a high def T.V. This year, the 32" Samsung and Vizio's are top buys, as well as the new HP laptops.
For the gamers, the most money spent is on the Xbox Kinnect, Just Dance 2, Halo: Reach and Call of Duty: Black Ops.
And for the hungry shopper, there's a rotating oven called Pizzazz Plus.
