QUINCY, ILL. -- Off duty firefighters came to the rescue for 26 angels this holiday season.

Members of the Quincy Firefighters Local 63 shopped for the left over Salvation Army's Angel Tree angels at Wal-Mart.

With ideas in mind they shopped with their families to find the perfect gifts.

They took money raised from the annual country music show to buy these gifts so kids in the area can enjoy a great Christmas.

They spent over a $1,000 on the kids.

And just a reminder, if you picked an angel off the angel tree they need to be brought back to the Salvation Army by Monday the 13th.
