BURLINGTON, IOWA (AP) -- A sixth-grader in Burlington faces a court date and expulsion hearing after she allegedly scrawled a threat on a restroom wall.

Police cited the 11-year-old for disorderly conduct after the threat was made Monday at Oak Street Middle School. Neither police nor the school district superintendent would describe the writing other than saying it included the date October 14.

Investigators confronted the girl shortly after the note was found.

The school board will hold an expulsion hearing next week. She's also scheduled for a court hearing October 10 on the disorderly conduct charge.

It's the fourth time since late April that a Burlington middle school student has faced charges and possible expulsion for threatening notes on restroom walls.
