U.S. Senator Kit Bond gave his final speech on the Senate floor Tuesday.

He said after announcing his retirement two years ago it was time to say goodbye.

"There's no greater honor than being given the trust of people at home to represent them," said Senator Bond.

Bond also advised his colleagues to "work together and play nice".
