Hannibal to discuss character and safety of local neighborhoods

HANNIBAL, MO. -- The City of Hannibal is holding a press conference at the Hannibal Police Department at 777 Broadway to discuss community issues.


On Friday, December 17, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at the Hannibal Police Department, they will announce future endeavors to help restore the residential character and improve safety in local neighborhoods.

The city is preparing to embark on a proactive approach to achieve this goal, and wishes to announce its proposed new measures, which include changes to local ordinances and several operational changes to accommodate these endeavors.

The presentation will be conducted by City Manager Jeff LaGarce.  Several city council members, the police chief, and the building inspector will also be in attendance.
