QUINCY, ILL. -- Paw Pals is asking pet lovers to help restock its pantry.

Wednesday, it partnered with Y101 radio for a pet food drive. From 3 to 5 p.m. drivers pulled up to the Y101 studio at 24th and Broadway to donate. Some drove up with truck loads of dry dog and cat food. Others simply gave cash.

Paw Pals President Jane Holt says it's a great help during a time when both people and their animals have been hit hard by the economy.

"Sometimes people in need of food for themselves don't always have money to buy food for their pets. That's where we come in and help them through our food drive," said Holt.

All donations will help provide for those animals during this winter's cold temperatures.

You can bring your donations to these drop-off locations for the food drive: Pampered Pets Grooming at 4830 Broadway, Pet Supply Plus at 4824 Broadway, Farm and Home Supply at 4625 Broadway, and Klingele Veterinary Clinic at 4601 Broadway.
