Hannibal schools will pass another benchmark Tuesday on the road to major construction.
The school board got an update Wednesday night.
Administrators will open bids for replacing the 107-year-old Mark Twain Elementary School and building an Early Childhood Education Center. Projects at other buildings also are planned. Funding will come from a $13 million no-tax-increase bond issue approved by voters in April.
Work would be completed in 2012.
