TABLE GROVE, ILL. -- We've been telling you about the story of Jack Bailey for a few months now.
He's a Central Illinois Santa who makes toys for kids in need.
Bailey usually makes or repairs most of the toys himself, but faced a mold problem in his workshop this year that put him behind schedule.
A woodshop teacher at V.I.T High School in Table Grove, Illinois heard the story and found a way to help out.
Laura Belville and art teacher Dave Miller turned their students into elves.
The wood shop class made twelve cradles and twelve rocking horses.
The art class stained and painted them, and a home economics class made the mattress pad and pillow for the cradles.
Even though the idea was Belville's, they had a little help in picking out the toys.
"Jack provided us with two samples. He had a doll cradle already previously made up from another template that he had used and then rocking horses he had done previous too. We just kind of went off of his templates and created the rocking horses and cradles that we have now," said teacher Laura Belville.
The toys will be donated to Bailey Friday afternoon and KHQA will bring you more information as soon as we get it.
