QUINCY, ILL. -- The Monday before Christmas is historically the busiest day of the year at the United States Postal Service.
Thousands of Christmas cards are being mailed out as well as packages.
While the number of cards being mailed is down, 1.1 million pieces of mail will be sent Monday.
Cards mailed Monday will make it to their destination by Christmas. Priority mail needs to get shipped Tuesday and Express mail can still be mailed out by Wednesday.
But as always double check to make sure all the information is correct before you send anything.
