Residents in the Quincy school district will pay slightly less on their tax bill next year.

The Quincy School Board approved a more than $26 million dollar tax levy for 2010.

It went down three cents to $3.99 per $100 assessed valuation.

The reduction was primarily due to cuts to the tort levy.

The Board also approved an $8 million line of credit, with the Bank of Springfield.

The line of credit is there to help cover expenses in the district in case of late state aid payments.
