New Years Eve is this Friday and once again people are going to be celebrating.

As always, law enforcement wants to remind you not to drink and drive.

Make sure that you have a plan and a designated driver before you decide to drink.

"This time of your we have a lot of people in events and activities and celebrations that might include alcohol and without a doubt our officers are going to focus on drinking and driving over the holiday period. We want people to pay attention and understand safe driving is important part of everyday as they care traveling back," said Trooper Brent Bernhardt with the Missouri State Police.

Law enforcement will be out conducting safety checks on New Years.
