HANNIBAL, MO. -- 19-year-old Justn Deney was arrested Tuesday after a Hannibal resident flagged down a police officer near her home.

The officer followed the woman to her house in the 2200 block of Hope Street.

According to the victims, a white male came into their home wearing a long coat and bandana over his face. The suspect demanded money while holding a weapon.

The husband got into an altercation with the suspect and then the suspect ran from the house.

On Tuesday afternoon officers received information that the suspect was in the 400 block of S. Arch.

Deney, also a Hannibal resident, was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail where he was placed on a 24 hour hold.

Deney is charged with Robbery 1st Degree, a Class A Felony, and bond was set at $100,000 cash only.
