Gas prices around the country are up from a year, month, week and even just one day ago.

In Iowa the average was $3.01, that's up from $2.52 this time last year.
A gallon of regular gas in Missouri was running $2.87, up from $2.41 from last year.
Illinois was the priciest of the three states with an average $3.20, up from $2.68 from one year ago.
In Quincy a gallon of gas was $3.15, but does it really matter to motorists?
Does the price really persuade from buying or not buying?
Quincy Motorist Melony Rosenburg said, "No, because it's a necessity. I have to have it. It's kind of like toilet paper. I mean it's a necessity, you have to buy it."
