The Illinois Department of Transportation is going to the public for feedback on a major thoroughfare.

It will be holding a public informational meeting in Hamilton to discuss proposed improvements to US 136.

The section of road to be discussed stretches from the Mississippi Bridge to Main Street in Hamilton.

The purpose of the meeting is to give the public an opportunity to express concerns about past flooding on the road and any other areas along that stretch of road.

It will be held this Thursday, January sixth from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Hamilton Middle School.
