KEOKUK, IOWA -- The Iowa Department of Natural Resources expects to fine the Roquette Corporation in Keokuk.

The company says an open valve led to the release of about a thousand gallons of corn syrup into the Mississippi last week.

KHQA hopes to hear more from DNR about the impact, if any, on aquatic life in the river.

We'll bring you more information as we receive it.
