Gold Medal Moves weight loss goal announced

QUINCY, ILL. -- One thousand pounds in six weeks.

That is the community weight loss goal for the people in the Quincy Medical Group Gold Medal Moves program.

More than 300 people attended the sign-in event last Saturday.

Those Gold Medial Moves participants weighed in at a total weigh of 48,989 pounds.

Now they have six weeks to reach that 1,000 pound goal.

Particpants in the program will get awards based upon the amount of time per week they exercise.

Signs will be posted all over town so the community can track the group's progresss as it gets closer to that goal.

This Friday, the 14th, is your last day to register for the program.

The program ends in Februay.
