A Ft. Madison family says the only reason they are alive today is because a passing angel banged on their door and told them their house was on fire.
Once the family was safely out of the burning home, the mystery man disappeared as quickly as he appeared.
Mom, dad and three children, ages 13, 14 and 16, were on hand Tuesday assessing the fire damage.
