Branstad wants a fix for reported problems in the program
DES MOINES, IOWA -- The Rebuild Iowa agency will close at the end of the summer.
Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds will head up the efforts to oversee the transfer of its tasks to other agencies.
The office was set up to deal with the devastation after the flood of 2008. But people complained that the agency was too slow getting assistance to flood victims.
Gov. Terry Branstad has asked Reynolds to come up with a plan to fix those issues so that they will not be a problem in any future disasters.
