Hannibal police catch suspect after foot chase

HANNIBAL, MO. -- Officers from the Hannibal Police Department were called to the Probation Office near 700 S. 7th for a man who had active warrants for his arrest in both the City of Hannibal and the state of Missouri.

24-year-old Sadrick O. McGruder of Hannibal, jumped out the window and ran from the officers.

He forced his way into a building in the 700 block of Church St. where the officers found him hiding in the basement.

He refused to cooperate and was subdued with a tazer.

He's now on 24-hour hold for Resisting Arrest, Property Damage and Burglary 2nd Degree.

MaGruder was unable to bond out due to the outstanding warrants for Failure to Appear (Resisting Arrest), Failure to Appear (Open Liquor), Failure to Appear (Stealing 14th Offense) and a Capias Warrant for a probation violation.

He is now in the Marion County Jail.
