QUINCY, ILL. -- UPDATED: April 11 at 4:11 p.m.

You may have noticed that work is winding up on the replacement canopy at the Haxell Shell Station in Quincy.

A little more than two months after heavy snow collapsed the canopy at 12th and Maine Street a new canopy is up and looking good.

The Quincy Fire Department says the weight of the the recent snow is to blame for a partial canopy collapse Wednesday afternoon.

The canopy was at the Haxell Shell Station at 12th and Maine.

A portion of the canopy collapsed and it clipped off one of the pumps.

But because the station was closed, the pumps were turned off and no gas was spilled.

There were no injuries reported.
