New Start Men come to the rescue

QUINCY, ILL. -- Still snowed in? or needing help taking on the load in your driveway?

There's help for many in the Quincy area.

Men from the 'New Start Rescue Mission' are going house to house to help dig out your driveways.

This was the scene in a subdivision at 16th and Kochs Lane Wednesday morning.

We caught up with them on their first driveway of the day.

"You guys have a method to get it off as quick as possible? 'Just knock the top layer off, you know what I mean? Just deliberately and consistently,' said Jacob Graham.

"We've had a couple of people out here asking if we'd come down and shovel them out," said Graham.

They're volunteering their services, though donations are appreciated.

You can reach the New Start Rescue Mission team at 217-223-2100.
