45-year-old caught as door was closing
VALLEY CITY, ILL. -- UPDATE: February 7 at 4:53 p.m.
45-year-old Eric Rumple from rural Valley City was pinned under an garage door while it was closing.

The Pike County Coroner's office responded to a rural Griggsville/Valley City area for an accidental death call.
Preliminary findings indicate that the man was caught under an garage door while it was closing.
The accident happened around 5:30 a.m. Monday, February 7.
The Griggsville Fire Department and Pike County EMS assisted.
The death remains under investigation by the Coroner's office.
