School receives several awards for compliance efforts

Thursday night a group of students in the Tri-States were recognized for their hard efforts in The Missouri Department of Transportation's  Battle of the Belts competition.
PHILADELPHIA, MO. --
The students at Marion County R 2  High School in Philadelphia Missouri were recognized by MoDOT for having 92.3 % overall higher seat belt use.

MoDOT's northeast community relations manager Marisa Ellison presented the students with banner recognizing all their hard work.

The school also got a plaque from MoDOT and 350 dollars from American Family Insurance for being the most improved in northeast Missouri.

136 school schools across the state participated in the competition.

12 of those were in northeast Missouri.
