QUINCY, ILL. -- A group of people in Quincy got their heart rates moving for a good cause Sunday.
An indoor cycling class at NuFit raised money for the YWCA
The class rode stationary bikes for a half an hour and did pilates for the other half.
It was full of women, and one man.
The YWCA's mission is to eliminate racism and empower women.
Coordinator Mary Muehlenfeld says it means a lot to have people come out and support the cause.
"Even greater was that we had men here today. So, that was exciting too. It's not just women recognizing that our sisters need help. It's men in the community recognizing that everybody needs help too. And it's a great way to get healthy," said coordinator Mary Muehlenfeld.
This is the first time NuFit and YWCA have teamed up for a charity ride.
