MONTROSE, IOWA -- Fire crews were called out to a fire in Montrose just after noon Monday. Crews found the home at 105 Chesnut fully engulfed.
Two people managed to escape the home with minor injuries. They were treated at a nearby hospital for smoke inhalation.
Three fire companies battled the flames. Crews were on the scene for a couple hours.
Investigators beleive a space heater is to blame. The home is a total loss.
