HANNIBAL, MO. -- UPDATED: June 21 at 2:45 p.m.

The Hannibal man who beat his neighbor after a neighborhood dispute in March is headed to prison.

A judge sentenced 24 year-old Stephan Mattox ten years in prison Tuesday.  He could be out in 120 days with good behavior, as a part of a Prison "Shock" Program.

Mattox pleaded guilty to beating his neighbor Adam Clark in his front yard.

During the sentencing Clark addressed his attacker in court, telling him to stay away from his family, as well as the alleys and streets around his family's home.  Clark also added he wished Mattox well, but wished he would respect others in the future.  He also added that he changed to raise his kids better.

Clark and his fiance have taken out retraining orders on other members of Mattox's family who they say have threatened them in the past.

We also caught up with family and friends of Mattox.  They didn't want to go on camera, but told Melissa Shriver ten years is too much for a fist fight.  Meanwhile Mattox has one child, and another on the way. The mother of his unborn baby says it hard for her to think her baby won't see her Daddy for ten years.

A Hannibal man is behind bars for his part in a neighborhood dispute Tuesday.

Police say a woman identified as Monica Williams fired a shot at a neighbor's home that afternoon.  Click here to read that story.

But after she was arrested, police say 24-year-old Stephan Mattox jumped a 49-year-old neighbor in her front yard.

Now Mattox faces 2nd Degree assault charges in connection with that beating.

He's in the Pike County jail on a $100,000 bond.
