QUINCY, ILL. -- More than a hundred people gathered inside the chapel at Quincy University Saturday for some Irish fun.

It was the second annual Irish Evening Benefit Concert, a fundraiser for the New Start Rescue Mission. That's a center in Quincy that helps men overcome drug and alcohol addictions.

A Quincy University senior and aviation major organized the day's event.

"The mission could use a little renovations. Right now, they're at capacity which is ten men. But they have a wonderful upstairs that could house many more. has But untill there's help with an expansion, and new electric and fire codes, we're hoping to raise funds to help for an expansion," said Eric Steitz.

You can find more information about Saturday's concert on Facebook by searching "An Irish Evening Benefit Concert."
