QUINCY, ILL. -- The Quincy Salvation Army is asking for donations to help them with a matching grant program.

The Feinstein Foundation will donate one dollar for every food item brought into the food pantry.

Donations from the Fall Harvest generally carry the Salvation Army through the year, but last year, the pantry ran out.

"When it comes to spring and summer months, donations are just not as high as they are in the winter months when the holidays come round. So, it still is an important time to have people donate so we can continue to make sure that the food pantry's stocked all year," said Salvation Army's Dawn Scheibner.

The donations of money and food for the matching grant program runs through the end of April.
