The Hannibal City Council voted in favor of an ordinance to change the structure

The Hannibal City Council has voted to change the governing structure of its Convention and Visitors Bureau.

On Tuesday, March 15th the council voted 6-1 in favor of an ordinance turning the managing authority of the Hannibal Convention and Visitors Bureau over to the city manager.

The HCVB board is concerned that under the new structure it will not have any authority over the director.

In other business an ordinance written by the city attorneywas given it's first reading.

The ordinance bans all mind altering substances like K-2 and bath salts.

The ordinance will get a second reading at the councils meeting in April
