Prayer vigil for Japan at Quincy University

QUINCY, ILL. -- UPDATED: March 17 at 6:50 a.m.

Quincy's University's Campus Ministry held a prayer service for the recent devastation in Japan.

The prayer service included scripture readings and hymns.

Quincy University held a community prayer service for the country of Japan Wednesday night.

In the wake of the recent devastation, members of the QU community organized the prayer service open to everyone in the area.

The service was held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the All Faiths Chapel.

That chapel is located just adjacent to the QU Main Chapel on 18th Street in Quincy.
