QUINCY, ILL. -- A joint effort between two Tri-State law enforcement agencies has landed a Quincy man in jail.

Jason Nebe was arrested after the Quincy Police Department received information from the McDonough County Sheriff's Office regarding a warrant for home invasion and criminal sexual assault in Adair, Illinois.

Officers tried to pull him over early this morning, but he got away.

He was then spotted just before 9 a.m. treading water in the bay near Bob Bangert Park.

Nebe was released to McDonough County Sheriff's deputies.

Traffic charges also may be filed in Adams County.
