QUINCY, ILL. -- We all have our forgetful moments, no matter what age we are, but when Quincy resident Harry Emrick turned 50, he began having those moments more often.
It was then he began to research how to reverse these forgetful spells, and after 25 years of research, he's now written a series of books dedicated to 'using it or losing it' when it comes to your mind.
"As each individual puts this whole thing together, you'll find that your access to long term memory really improves, and your short term memory improved, because you're thinking more, writing more and pumping more blood to your brain, which really helps develop your long term memory," said Emrick.
Emrick's work in progress will conclude with a fifth volume he says he'll wait to write in his later years.
