QUINCY, ILL. -- UPDATED: April 11 at 9 p.m.

The Quincy City Council tabled a request for a zoning change near Spring Lake Estates for another 30 days.

Adam Booth wants a zoning change for a 40-acre property near Spring Lake Estates and a 47-lot subdivision to be known as Ridgeview Subdivision.

Three speakers, including Booth, originally were scheduled to speak on the matter Monday night until the issue was tabled.

In other action, the council was presented with a first reading for a $30 million dollar budget for next fiscal year.

A public hearing on the budget is scheduled for this Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Quincy Senior Center.

The Quincy City Council will have a first reading on a proposed annual budget for next fiscal year, May 1, 2011 to April 30, 2012.

The council will also discuss a zoning change near the Spring Lake Estates additions. The proposal was previously tabled for 30 days.

The city will also discuss plans to sell 3 different properties to local organizations.
