Hannibal applies for sidewalk grant

HANNIBAL, MO. -- The city of Hannibal hopes to make walking to school safer for children on Hannibal's North side.

Officials have submitted a $250 thousand grant application to build a new sidewalk here along Palmyra Road as a part of the Safe Routes to School grant program.

City leaders will learn whether the grant was approved by June 30.
