FORT MADISON, IOWA -- A Fort Madison family is displaced after an all call fire in the upstairs of their rented house.

Crews responded to 3115 Avenue I a little after 11:00 Sunday morning.

Fort Madison Fire Captain Jay Blanchard says the four year old son was playing with matches when the bed caught on fire.

"She had these matches to light candles during power outages...but it goes back to the same thing, kids will get into anything. You just want to make sure they're out of reach of all your children," said Cpt. Blanchard.

The fire did between $25,000-$30,000 worth of damage.

The fire was contained to the upstairs bedroom.

The house is not livable.

No one was injured.
