PITTSFIELD, ILL. -- A call for help turned deadly in Pittsfield Friday morning.
Norma Griffeth called 911 to report her house was on fire. But according to the Coroners report, she was overcome by smoke while doing so.
As crews fought the fire, Griffeth's body was found in her bedroom.
The State Fire Marshall's were called in to investigate.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
