In our Facebook Story of the Day for May 23, we talk about pothole problems.
Where there's one pothole, oftentimes there are many.
It's likely that you've been dodging potholes all spring thinking that with winter weather long gone, towns and cities should have fixed them by now.
We want to hear about potholes found in your area ... click here to report them to our Pothole Patrol.
Monday we heard from viewers about the Keokuk problem and the Quincy problem.
One person said, "I live near 8th and Monroe and I do my best not to travel on Washington Street between 8th and 10th which is only a few blocks away. I'll take the alley to get to 10th because I don't want to ruin the suspension on my car. The corner on 10th and Madison is also full of potholes. I wish the mayor would travel these roads once in awhile, then maybe something would get done."
The Keokuk Street Department Manager says the pot hole problem is about the same, maybe a little higher this year than average.
Since the end of Feburary, a two man crew has been fixing pot holes for three to four days a week, weather permitting.
In Quincy, the City Engineer tells KHQA crews are just about caught up with potholes.
He says there is still at least one two man crew working five days a week filling the pesky potholes.
If you see any that may require attention, you should call Quincy Central Services at 228-4520.
