It was a day of Senior fun and learning opportunities for thousands of seniors.
The Quincy Senior and Family Resource Center was the site of the 5th Annual Senior Expo today.
More than three thousand seniors perused more than 65 booths of information and demonstrations ranging from financial help to senior housing and healthcare providers.
Organizers say though most folks here are already seniors, this is a one stop shop for everyone to gather information for different stages in their lives.
Laura Megown, Activity Director at the Quincy Senior and Family Resource Center said, "We all face life changes sooner or later whether it be the aging process or just wanting to downsize their home. We also want to appeal to the early retirees to help them navigate social security, medicare, medicare D."
KHQA was one of the proud sponsors of today's event. Seniors were able to pledge to "drive now, text later," as part of KHQA's Just Let It Ring campaign.
Those seniors are now in a drawing for a new car.
