Officers with the Hannibal Police Department have new work hours.  They are now working a 12 hour shift schedule.

Some officers brought the idea to the chief for his consideration.

He looked around and found a schedule he thought would work.

The department did a 30 day and a 90 day trial, and now it's permanent.

Chief Lyndell Davis was worried concerned about fatigue, morale, and overtime.

After the 90 day trial, there were way more positives than negatives, and he says most of the officers enjoy it.

Have an opinion?  Do you work a similar shift and  love it or hate it?  We want to hear from you below or on Facebook.
