Severe and strong thunderstorms that rolled through the Tri-States early Sunday morning left more than 1,200 customers in Adams County without power.

The line of storms made its way across the viewing area starting at around 3 a.m.  Straight-line winds gusts were so hard they blew down power lines in Fowler.  Other towns affected are Coatsburg, Camp Point, and Liberty.

Wind gusts of 74 miles per hour were recorded at Baldwin Field Sunday morning.

Ameren crews restored powerlines and power to customers.
