Bainter faces multiple charges for incident

QUINCY, ILL. -- The investigation of two hit and run accidents on Monday night has led to the arrest of a Quincy man.

Police were investigating the hit and runs where witnesses described a white Honda with a loud muffler in both instances.

A little later someone reported a white Honda with a loud muffler driving recklessly east on R. J. Peters Drive.

Officers spotted the vehicle in the parking lot of the Harrision pub at 17th and Harrison.

The driver Tony Bainter was arrested and charged with multiple charges including:  DUI, driving without a license and illegal transportation of alcohol.

Officers also found illegal prescription drugs on Bainter.

He also faces charges of leaving the scene of an accident and failure to reduce speed for the two hit and run incidents.
